Nozzle heads used in this study: a standard nozzle head A with an outlet diameter of 4 mm, b nozzle head B designed with relaxation volume and an outlet diameter of 5 mm. The scale d is the same for both nozzles. Nozzle head B has a relaxation volume with a length of about 16 mm (grey area). All distances between the jet and the calorimetric probe are in respect to the lower end of the correspondent nozzle head. For nozzle head A the distance between the probe and the excitation volume is the same as the one between the probe and the nozzle head. For nozzle head B the length of the relaxation volume of about 16 mm has to be added for this distance
