Time evolution of the intensities obtained from a series of spectra taken at different time delays. The average spectrum of this series is shown in Fig. 4. The intensities are divided by the corresponding average line intensity and shifted by 0.1 towards each other for better visibility. The local maximum of the spectral transition with the fastest relaxation time is indicated by the dashed line. The slower spectral transitions show a small phase shift of approximately 10 to 30 ns (except 840.92 nm, where it is slightly more). The radio frequency driving the plasma was 1.281 MHz, so TRF=780 ns
